BIOGRAPHICAL SUMMARY
Mood Indigo is the most sought after Jazz Trio in Thunder Bay,
Ontario, Canada.
The band formed, under the leadership of Dr. Mark Thibert, in
about 1997. The group has played steadily, each week, since its
inception, at many of the clubs, restaurants, coffee houses, parks,
Confederation College, Lakehead University, private functions, and
charitable events in Thunder Bay, Ontario.
Mood Indigo is composed of the following band members:
- Mark R. Thibert, M.D., F.R.C.S. (C): Saxophones, Clarinet,
Flute, Upright and Electric Bass, musical composer and arranger,
leader.
- Glenn Jennings: Keyboards, MIDI Bass pedals, Trumpet,
Flugelhorn, musical composer and arranger.
- Paul Hessey: Drums
Mood Indigo is well known for their musical excellence as
performers, recording artists, studio musicians, songwriters, and
musical educators.
Mood Indigo performs year round, several days a week. Local
venues at which Mood Indigo performs include the following:
Valhalla Inn, Travel Lodge (Airlane) Motel, Aurora Grill, Grand
Portage, Thunder Bay Community Auditorium, Creed Espresso Bar,
Seattle Coffee House, Great Northwest Coffee Company,
Starbucks/Chapters Bookstore, Gargoyle’s, Jack’s, Mona Lisa
Restaurant, Harrington Court Restaurant, Dewar’s Pub, Wayland
Tavern, Confederation College Center Spot, Lakehead University’s
Outpost, The Apollo Club, Downtown Mario’s Restaurant, City of
Thunder Bay’s Summer In The Parks, Thunder Bay Medical Society
special events. More recently, Mood Indigo has performed a feature
concert for the Superior Jazz North Society at the Thunder Bay
Community Auditorium. Individually and collectively the members of
this group has been requested as back-up musicians for many highly
acclaimed visiting acts, including a host of Grammy and Juno Award
winners.
